How fast have you gone on the stock 10 bolt rear?

Thinking about getting popping in a Mustang 8.8" rear in my car but I haven't broken my 10 bolt yet *knock on wood*. I also have an auto though.

I was trapping 116mph with a bad 60 foot last year.

Looking for 118mph this year and somewhere in the 11s.

EDIT: 1.67 60 foot was the best I did this year when my motor went south.

Not sure if trap speed is a good indicator of the limits of the 10 bolt. I think the "shock" of a hard launch is what breaks the rear so 60' times might be a better indicator. You can also run a "good" trap speed without a good 60' time; unfortunately the local track has always had sh*tty traction so my best 60' was a 1.69, but I've run 124.9 trap speeds.

Re: How fast have you gone on the stock 10 bolt rear?

I know many people trappin high in the 120's on thestock 10 bolt.

Mine has held up to 1.8 60's and some 1.7 60's on the kit out of the whole = over 450rwtq. trapped 116 before the gears and 121 afeter.

When I get the car running again, hopefully this weekend, and get her tuned I am hoping for 118-122 trap speed N/A and somewhere in the 130's on a NX 150 hit..... on my stock 10-bolt.

Mine broke with a 2.0 60ft on crappy pep boys tires on a run that was 13.8 @ 101mph (when I was stock). I think its just hit or miss. My car is automatic as well.

I decided then to get a moser 12-bolt.

I have a few friends, that have gone mid 10's, with low 1.5's, even a few 1.4's on their stock 10 bolts, with pretty good size, converters...

im guesting that you all have autos because the 10 bolt wont last long behind a t56 making any power.

I made about 80 passes on my stock 10 bolt with 4:10's, M6, SLP clutch and dr's. 1/2 of those were at approx 300rwhp, the other were at 355rwhp, ran into the low 12's many times. My 10 bolt held up pretty well, never broke but was whining a bit before I replaced it. When set up right they can hold some power for a while even behind an M6 as long as you dont have a on/off type clutch with no slip. (such as the ST)

Gone as fast as 12.0x on a 1.66 60'.... It's got plenty of 1.6's under its belt and I'm shooting for a possibly 1.5 this weekend on it and cracking 11's

1.69 is my best 60' on the Nittos(no slicks till I get a 12bolt). I mostly run 1.7s to low 1.8s. Best time in sig.

Damn Javier, you have the same mods as me planned for next year and the same goal too!

You southern guys should not be allowed to discuss your track plans during the winter months. All the tracks arount here are closed already dammit!
