How to drop my IAC counts

Well the new 396 is alive! Did some initial tuning on it today, and ran into an issue where the IAC counts were 180. I used the throttle stop screw to increase the minimum throttle opening as much as I could, but could only get the IAC counts down to about 120.

It's a 236/236 cam on 114s in a 396, and a Holley 58mm throttle body.

What do I need to do here? Drill holes in the throttle plates?

Thanks,
Dave

Look into modding the throttle body, do a search on BBK as those are known to cause this problem.

Here is one of many threads on this-

This should be discussed in LT1 Tech though,
Transfering.

Sorry, but the signal to noise ratio of LT1Tech is so bad as to be useless sometimes.
