How does an SS Air Box fit on the LT1?

Does the box just sit on top of the engine with the only connection being at the elbow?

It connects at the elbow like you already said. It wraps around to the top of the engine and sits flat. The space where the airbox is on say a Z28 is empty.

Thanks!!!

So I take it that the hood, when it is closed, holds the box in place?

Also where do you buy replacement filters for them?

on the true SS filter boxes ....the box of the filter has 2 bolts that screw to the intake to hold it in place... and i dont think it will fit unless u have an SS hood because in the SS hood there is a cavity cut out for it to rest in.

The airbox bolts to/through the front two fuel rail bolts. Won't fit on a stock hood, sits in the recession in the SS hood
