How does everyone like their HAL setup or Koni/Bilstein Setup?

How does everyone like their setups? Im debating the HAL drag setup, and the Koni/HD Bilstein setup.

How long are these supposed to last? Do the HALs have warranty?

I am mainly doing this for ground clearance problems, need to replace the springs, however I might as well replace the ****ty shocks too.

I realize the Konis will own the HALs at handling, but I'm concerned about the weight transfer ability of the Konis.

Everyone with the HALs like the way they handle? I talked to Strano and he thinks they are not fit for the street.

I dont really think i will be handling in extreme conditions like road racing too much. Mainly drag racing. And i want to be able to pop some wheelies!

Both options are almost the same amount of money, and your guys' opinions will help me decide!

Bilstein HD's here.. Lifetime warranty, great for handling, very low price for how they handle and how long they last.
All around winner.

Right now im leaning more towards the koni/bilstein combo, since sam strano is running that on his car and has won tons of **** with that. just waiting to hear back from him on how the konis transfer weight for drag racing

They would be fine with any springs, IMO.

If you want adjustability for the track, the Hals will be the ones that will give it to you.

Yeah there fine with any.
A BMW place online sells them alittle cheaper.. like 40 bucks cheaper than shox.com. 300 Bucks shipped to your door.

If no one else has em in stock these guys will.
Sam Strano also sells them.. If your looking into revalving to better match your aftermarket coils I'd consult this man... and might as well buy from him too so u dont have to ship the shocks twice.

Cool

I switched my stock Koni DA for SLP Bilsteins. My car is a daily driver.

I agree with the abovementioned comments:

HAL for the strip

Koni's for auto x

I have the Hal's all the way around on my car with the fronts set at 7 and the backs at 5. They are okay for normal driving but don't take any highway entrance ramps too fast because the springs that come with the kit are too soft in the front. With the backs set any stiffer than 5 the ride gets very bouncy. I plan on switching them to the Bilsteins next year.

Now that I finally have the right stuff, Eibachs and Strano's revalved Bilstein HD's are AWESOME.
Strano = great prices and even better knowledge and customer service. Give your money to him.
