I have been throwing a MAF related code. I took the electrical connector off my maf and the car ran exactly the same as when it was connected. Does this mean my MAF is cooked?

Not necessarily. It might mean that the MAF is not getting power. Check the pink wire to the MAF for 12v when the key is ON. It seems to be a common problem.

Monitoring with a scanner is always helpful.

You can always check the blk/wht wire for ground and the yellow for 5v with the key ON. Maybe borrow a MAF from someone for test (plus test yours on their car). The scanner is still an option.
