How do you remove old gasket material between the head and the header...

I just took my pass. side exhaust gasket out and to my dismay there are some chunks missing from the gasket on the last primary flange. So basically there is some old gasket still inbetween the head and the header right there. I'm going to try a razor but what is the best way to get that crap out? Gasket remover spray? Any methods? It was leaking pretty bad so the gasket is really messed up right there.

Thanks.
