how do i port my throttle body?
You cannot port your own throttle body unless you have access to something that will cut the openings evenly, as well as being able to purchase larger butterflies for it. You'll have to either buy a larger TB made by a company (such as BBK, Holley, or AS&M), or find someone that can port your stock one (NOMAD on the board).
BTW, SLP doesn't offer LTs for a LT1. So, if you have SLP headers, they are shorties.

just take a dremel tool or some sand paper and start grinding away those plates. You want them completely gone, except for the rod in the center.

on a fairly stock or even bolt on engine, a larger tb, say 52mm (48mm is stock) will only gain you about 5hp if even that.
some guys claim 0 increase or even loses, but in theory a slightly larger tb should help out, how much is the arguable part.
so for now, you don't need one. although an airfoil would gain you maybe 2-3 hp and they are relatively inexpensive and easy to install.
spend your $$ elsewhere. but if you REALLY want to have a ported tb...contact NOMAD...i think it's $160 after core charge.
