What exactly do you need help on? Installing that cam is going to be no different than installing any other cam. Also there are many people running larger cams than that, so I dont see it being to big. Throw it in, get your computer re programmed and enjoy!

It's not that huge. Most guys here are going to say it's too small. I think it's pretty close.

Do you have springs to go with it?

The cam swap is not really hard, but having someone whos done it before will help alot.

Judging by the .050 specs the cam doesn't look that big. A HOTcam is like a 220/230 I think. Throw that in and get a good tune. You should be happier with that cam over a HOTcam .

NO i dont have Springs YEt. I was gonna see if i can get away with the stock springs for now until I get more cash. BUt if I have to swap the Springs then i will. At first my motor was not getting any oil to the TOP END. acutlly very LITTLE oil was pumping. We took off my intake. the oil pump was fine. BUt we looked at my lifters and they were softer than ****. SO Im gonna replace though as well. IM about this close in putting in the LT4 cam and say the hell with it.

Just so you know the lt4 cam is different than the lt4 HOT cam. Also, I really like my hotcam but I think you would be happier with the custom xe grind. Either way you are going to have to replace the springs. The stock springs are hardly good enough for the stock cam. The LT4 springs are rated up to .525 of lift, which is exactly what the hotcam has with 1.6RR. So at the very least with the hotcam you would need the lt4 springs. If I were you I would go ahead and install the 224/236 cam and then look into the springs that Combination offers that are good to .600 lift. They are suppose to be reasonable in price, rated to a high lift, and Im pretty sure they are still a single spring design which will make the install a bit easier for you.

Rockers you dont have to have, but its recommended to get 1.6RR. They will help add a bit of hp. If money is really tight though the stock rockers could be used but probably shouldn't. Springs and all the new stuff to go with them should be ordered for sure, DO NOT reuse your stock springs..You said the lifters are junk so get new lifters. And a program of the computer again is something that doesn't HAVE to be done but it really should. Without it your car is going to run but its going to run like crap, bad gas mileage, and I wouldn't be surprised if the car wasn't any faster untill you get a programming done. You may want to check out www.pcmforless.com . Bryan does great work for the price and is a good person to work with. You can probably get away with your stock converter for now but a new one with a higher stall would help a bit too.

This means that the springs are slightly larger than the stock size and that they will not fit in the cylinder heads they way they are now. Heads need to be opened up a little bit to make more room basically. Again, I would check Combination Motorsports for their single vavle springs that dont require any machining, and support up to .600 lift.

Roller rockers are better than roller tips as they will help to free up a little bit more HP because of the decrease in friction.
