I was wondering if under the valve cover something might be worn out like valve springs etc. I have a performance loss but the engine runs decent all the way through the rpm range. It is maybe down 25-50 HP. I can smoke the tires and get serious wheel spin after shifting into 2nd. What symptoms for bad rings, valve springs, rockers & other parts under the valve covers? The best way to expain the power loss is it takes more gas pedal to reach the same speed or rpm's. Since im in the 13's its hard to say it running like crap because it has never been faster since i owned it so im looking for a needle in a hay stack.

 

Pull the covers and take a look.

 

full service? change filters, seafoam top end, bottom end and fuel lines. that'll give back horses.
