how do i crimp the ends on otvc's?
how do i crimp the ends on otvc's?
i know how to crimp em, but how do i get the "conductor over the insulator" i cant figure out how to bend it ,bc the boots that where sent to me have a sleeve inside for the metal ring to go around when u crimp it but how do i make it where the middle wire is touching the metal?
Re: how do i crimp the ends on otvc's?
I always strip off the outer insulation enough so that I have a little bit of the inner wire sticking out about ------- that long...then fold the inner wire backwards over the outer insulation then stick the metal sleeve over that and clamp.
Ohh and everytime I've done it I've had the metal clamp part not inside the rubber boot. I clamp it then slide the boot over the clamped wire.
