Arrow How to check the oil pressure sending unit?

Does anyone have the resistance ranges and their equivalent in PSI for the oil pressure sending unit?
Thanks!

Buy a new one at AutoZone for around 21.00.

I believe it is a Wells part at A-Zone.

As long as your going to mess with it anyway, you might as well put a new one in.JMHO

~90 ohms at high pressure
~10 ohms at low pressure

My bad. I didn't answer the question. I guess I'm so used to seeing low-oil pressure problems lately, that I lost my head.

BTW, I've been researching a low-oil pressure shut-off switch and so far we're talking either a com'l job that costs around $200.00 or a custom job.

Don't know whether one would be beneficial or not, since if the pressure drops while your racing, it's probably too late anyway.
