How to check a Meizerre electric water pump?
I turn it on and I hear it running....I took it out and turned it on and it turns clockwise....I have it on a relay and it is getting 12 volts.
The reason I ask is I used to have a electric waterpump on an old Mopar of mine and that pump if I pulled off a radiator hose would shoot water 30 feet out.
I have tried every hose with mine and I get nothing?
So, how can I test it minus taking it off the car and putting it in a waterbucket?

I would turn the key on and let it run and then take cap off and see if it is pushing water.
Why would you think it is not working if you hear it? is the car overheating? there might be blockage.
how fast was the MOPAR pump running? I dont remember the GPM but to make the comparison you need to know alot more info.

Ditto on the taking the radiator cap off method. Thats the only way I know how to tell.
Shon Herron, if I'm not mistaken, I believe the regular Meziere pump puts out something like 30-35 GPM and the heavy duty version is like 55 GPM.

With the cap off...no thermostat...car not running...all I see is a small little stream of water that is coming from the back of the passenger head. That is it....and the car runs a little hot for my comfort.
I would think there would be a flurry of activity in the radiator?
