How can you tell if you have a four bolt main block?

I will look at block as shoebox showed. motor was said to come out of 94 cop persuit car from texas. if it is so must be #2 motor in car cause no ID can be found in normal spots

Only one I personally know of from working at the Pontiac dealer. Customers car had a 4 bolt block.. I know it was the original engine because I had worked on it since new, owner always took it to me for work. Bought the car with 4 miles on it.

I have heard one other tech I know at another local dealership that found a 4 bolt f-body from the factory.. wierd huh.
I heard that a few 93's came with 4 bolts because they had some extra vette blocks for that year.

Ya i have seen 2 different cars with original motors and 4 bolts. Its kinda like the ls6 blocks in some ls1 cars. Random crap Gm had and threw in to get the product out on time or just to move stock.
