How can I start my Camaro??

I faced a really bad problem with my car yesterday...My starter (ignition) is locked!! No idea what happened....My car is parked in the middle of nowhere, and I really wanna start it, but the steering, brake, gear and starter are locked....Why could be the reason for that??

I usually start my car very smoothly and firmly, and Im really surprised that there's a probelm. I contacted a mechanic, he said that the only way to start the car is by opening the steering wheel and "unlocking the lock", which will take ages as he said...

Can i start my car using the wirings? If so what wires do I connect to start the car?? Is it risky for the PCM?? cos i already faced trouble with my PCM so I dont wanna burn it, just be connected wires....

PLEASE HELP...I NEED ADVICE

Thanks.
Rami.

What exactly do you mean by locked? Is it physically locked as in not turning forwards what so ever ... sorta as if you're using the wrong key or can you insert the key and turn but the motor doesn't turn over? No clicking or anything?

Yea what exactly happens... do you start it and nothing happens? Is the steering wheel locked? Is the security light on? It sounds like the steering wheel is locked, there is a little pin that prevents you from moving it, sometimes if there is pressure on the pin you have to wiggle the wheel to get it to pop out. Try wiggling the wheel and turning the key at the same time.

Scoobysnax that was a really ignorant thing to say... you can't associate middle east with car robbery, I garuntee you that there are more robberies flat out in the U.S. than in almost any other country. It's crazy how brainwashed people are these days... anyway, post some more info and maybe we can help.

I'm not getting into a flame war here. I'm deleting my posts and letting someone help him without all this added drama, once again sorry for my attitude today. I think I'll just start posting again in a better mood. Once again sorry...

Edit: just so everyone knows some questionable replys on my part were deleted, they were irrelevant to the topic and I am sorry.

If your situation is this: can't turn the key in the ign. switch, then try this. Pull the steering wheel like you are making a left turn while you turn the key. It's called torque lock and may be mentioned in your Owner's Manual. It happens when you park, shut the ign. off and the car rolls a little, loading the steering column through the wheels. If this doesn't help, have someone rock the car back and forth while you try turning the key. Hope this helps.

Yea it's all good scooby, it's just that one of my pet peeves is ignorance and sometimes what I say just comes out. My bad... I'm sure you're cool at least you appologized.

As for the origninal problem, do what the last guy said.
