Get a set of LTs, 1.6rr, LT4KM, and a good stall converter and you'll walk away from it no prob.

Do the cheapy/free mods if you have not yet. TB bypass, airfoil, 160 thermostat, fan switch, Port and descreen your MAF or at least port it. If you have a laptop or can get your computer near the car, do some LT1 editing or TunerCats! CAI is a must, and you can get a Borla 3" Ypipe with a high flow cats or an off road pipe, LT4KN. My car with what it has below runs easily runs by LS1's with no problem.

Plus the above mods are not expensive. The Y Pipe and Cats or off road pipe and CAI are the most expensive things on that list.

Don't bother decreening or porting the MAF, its useless. Headers, CAI and 1.6 rockers should get you to the same numbers as your friends car.

LT1s are rated as having only 10lbs less torque then an LS1 325lbs-335. So it wont take much to match torque. Headers, rockers and cai will put him way ahead. Descreening the MAF helped my car a small amount, nothing huge or anything but it wont hurt it. With the exhaust you already have go for CAI, then headers if you have the time and the ability to put them in, then i would get gears. Set of 4:10s and that will get you ahead of your friend. If its a WS6 then youll have a little more work to do.

LT1's have a flatter torque curve than LS1's do, the LS1's just peak about 10 ft/lb higher so matching the torque can be done with any bolton. The HP is what u need the LT's, CAI, and catback for to match, and if an 01 or 02 LS1, u need 1.6 or 1.7RR and tune as well to match the xtra few HP from the LS6 intakes.

Headers, CAI, and the LT4 Hotcam Kit w/good tune should really give you an advantage.

Do the Basics, CAI, cat-back if able remove the cat, LT headers, 160 deg therm Good tune and you'll be close. Add some gears and you'll leave im. (if he remains stock)

Yup 01 T/a's and Camaros came with the LS6 Intake...gave it a few extra ponies but not much. He kinda has the advantage cause his car will always run consistaintly with an automatic, but if you can drive your M6 consistaintly should be a good match.

Again, get some headers, Catback, CAI, possibly 3:73's or 4:10's and i think you'll see a very close match...

Since your car is a 95 you keep the front O2 sensors, your car is not equiped with after cat O2s. The only reason to keep the cat is if the state requires it.
