how big of stall with cc306?
how big of stall with cc306?
Here is the deal i have a 2800 Midwest stall but my tranny just went out. I just bought a daily driver so i am not worried about gas mileage. So i was thinking of going with a 3500ish size stall. I THINK this would be good for a cc306 but what do you guys think?
Re: how big of stall with cc306?
You can probably get Midwest to cut clean and restall your current converter for far less than a new unit, while arranging that discuss with them your plans and get their input. I really like my Edge and when I began makiong plans for the current project I called Andre there and talked it over with him and let him guide me.
I am not particularly familiar with Midwest but I know my 2800 Edge required no additional cooling over a stock converter. Not saying a 3500 Midwest wont but those who get all exited about cooling todays high stalls usually either have little experiance with quality units or never bothered to verify the temps. Ideally you want say 170-190 with 160-200 being decent, trannies can be overcooled, automotive fluids are designed to run hot not at ambient temps.
