The new Pop Hot Rodding on the stands has a good exhaust article by David Vizard. That guy has tested more exhausts than anyone i've ever seen.
Hell i've seen a larger diameter header with the same runner lengths and a cam to match make MORE TQ down low and up high, esentially flatten out the TQ curve (like a supposed wider LSA will do) than a smaller diameter header and a bigger cam. Hmmm more HP after peak and more TQ before peak, sounds like more average power and a quicker car to me.
