How to attach heater hose?

Hi,

My heated hose ruptured a pinhole leak today. It attaches to the water pump and then connects to an aluminum flange on the other end. The GM part number is 10188037 for the hose. It is easy to attach the new hose to the water pump but I need to know how to attach it to the other end with the aluminum flange.

Please help as it is not drivable right now and it is my only car...

Thank you.

Gm told me to cut the outside of the crimp (swaged) end off leaving a lip. The hose is just pressed onto a barb, the swaged. Just cut around and through the aluminum, then slit that down the middle and bend it off. The hose pulls right off after that.

After you cut it, use the lip that you left as a stop when you put the new hose on, then use a regular worm gear clamp to clamp it down.
