Hot Cam, Stock heads @ 3600 lbs race wt I ran consistant 12.30 times on 1.64 60's @ 110.34 mph.... Not to shabby for the little Hot Cam. However now I don't think the Hot Cam likes my GTP Stage 2 heads.... 12.27 @ 111.11 on a 1.61 60'..... Didn't get much better huh....

Agreed. I dynoed 349hp and 349tq with a cam smaller than the CC305 some years ago. Those were peak numbers but the good news was the area under both curves was very broad. I freshened the engine recently and chose the XE218 cam (CC502) just be slightly larger and to have something different.

Describing smaller streetable, high TQ cams with broad curves as "baby" is really inappropriate.

I ran the times below last time out with my little cam, made three runs that day all were at 115mph. Raceweight between 3450-3500, very good weather that day in October 41 deg 48% rh.

you should have picked up more than 1 mph with ported heads....
what kinda tuning do you have?
is the car running ok?
if you i would question the quality of those heads.....

I agree & I was definately hoping for more!! I had them flowed & they flowed 260/190 @ .600 I believe which wasn't bad in comparisons but I think I have more in it with a Dyno Tune and a different Converter... I just don't think the Vig3600 is a good fit with my set up. I ran those stock head times with a Vig3200 & when I went slower with the 3600 in the car .... Car feels strong.... just falls on it's face after the 1/8 mile....

Let me know if you want to trade for a lower stall to help match that cam...

sorry guys, i didnt mean to start a little war here, when i said 'baby' cam i was saying he may want to rethink that cause alot of people after a cam install will say..awwww i shoulda went bigger, but bigger isnt always better, but i really meant nothing by the term baby at all, hell my old 95 z28 had a crane 210/224 with thunder racing heads and i dynoed 345 at the wheels and that is a baby cam, anyway...sorry guys like i said it was just a figure if speech...
