Hotcam Kit + Bolt Ons - Dyno Results

I just wrapped up installing my Hotcam kit, Meziere E-WP and MadZ28 tune and got it to the dyno on Saturday. 348.7 RWHP / 344.2 RWTQ . I am pretty happy with the results! What do you guys think? I was surprised that my peak power was at only 5630 rpm, and was a little surprised that the torque curve was so peaky, but I guess that could be from the scale??? What percent power loss do you think I get through the drivetrain on an M6?

wow those are some of the better numbers i've seen from a hotcam.

i would say the apox loss in the six speed and stock 10bolt is around 13%

Yes, I think it is the scale of the chart making it look like The Matterhorn. Your numbers look great and are right on target for what I'm expecting when I do headers. Here is mine, for comparison. Mine is without headers, of course.

I noticed a really nice different back when I did my headers. I am sure they will make a very noticable difference with the cam already in.

Wow all of your prints are so much easier to look at and make sense of than mine!

Wow that is impressive, My old 96 Z made 340rwhp and 332 rwtq with headers tune, ported heads and hotcam. I would be very happy with those #, they are the best I have ever seen for those mods.

Thats pretty sweet dude, I would be happy with that. Also the torque graphs look funky on a dyna pack because the scale it uses. Check out mine. http://home.socal.rr.com/ssher1/dynograph.JPG . There is a different graph page on the dynapack that gives a more standard scale and makes the torque curve look the same as other dyno's. If the place that you dyno'd at saved your runs they should be able to print it out for you.

Question Re: Hotcam Kit + Bolt Ons - Dyno Results

What is included in this kit? Does that come with heads/intake or just the cam? I always have to guess how much power I have.

The other thing about a dynapack is that the results are more accurate because it has less inertia. The results end up being closer to what you would see a engine dyno TQ curve look like.

Re: Hotcam Kit + Bolt Ons - Dyno Results

I am planning on calling the place today to see if they can get another print out, and to see if they collected any other into (a/f and such) because they did stick a "sniffer" in the tail pipe. I went with a big group from my school so I am not sure if they saved everything or not.

Skull Leader: The Hotcam kit comes with the Hotcam, GMPP 1.6 RRs, LT4 valve springs, locks, shims and retainers.

no the heads and intake are not included. came, springs, rr's, that kind of stuff. if a kit included everything for a cam install, with ported heads, and the intake, for around 500 bucks, LE and BB would be out of business.

Re: Hotcam Kit + Bolt Ons - Dyno Results

divide it by 4.1. 1575/4.1=384 give or take a few
