The stock heads are decent heads in their stock, unported form. Ported they outflow most aftermarket heads. And comparing LT1 heads to LS1 heads is like comparing apples to oranges. You would know that if you knew WHY LS1 heads flow like they do..
The stock intake manifold is such an excellent design that no one has even bothered to make a street/strip aftermarket intake manifold (besides a carburated version) for the LT1. There are some aftermarket, fully drag-race only, aftermarket manifolds I believe.
The stock TB flows quite a bit, once you get into H/C territory (430+ FWHP) I'd consider a larger one. But for a HOTCAM, the stocker will do fine.

Also, the LS1s intake manifold has those runners in it to make sure the air travels the same distance to each cylinder within the manifold as well. Thats WHY the LS1 head flows like it does and i don't see how comparing to sets of cylinder heads is comparing apples and oranges and how am i UTTERLY incorrect when the LS1 heads DO flow better than LT1 heads that was my point.
The LS1 head flows so well due to a different valve angle in the heads, giving the air charge a better path to the combustion chamber. Regular small block and LT1 heads are 23 degree, while the LS1 is 15 degree (I believe).
