I was wondering how much H-power you would get from a hotcam kit on a pretty much stock lt1 except for an an in intake and exhaust .Thanks

You may want to re-think the LT4 HOT cam kit...not as popular or dependable as you may think...

The Hotcam kit is a popular kit to use, and kicks *** if you're looking for a basic cam kit. Add headers, throttlebody, and a good tune and you can make ~60 more horsepower at the wheels. This cam is a mild cam and won't hurt the reliability or dependability of your motor. Passes emissions too!

Id say a good 20-25 hp is a decent estimate

I put the Hotcam in my stroker and it made some decent power. Definite improvement over the stock. I think it would perform great in a stock motor but not enough for my 383

I've seen a PEAK of 30 at the wheels without tuning.

With tuning and a TB you wont make 60rwhp from the hot cam kit. That is bs!

After intake, full exhaust, and tuning you'll be somewhere in the 310 to 330rwhp range with a MUCH stronger top end pull than the stock cam. Depending on what bolt-ons you have, tranny, and state of tune, getting over 330rwhp is possible on stock heads. Keep in mind most stock LT1s are around the 245ish rwhp range so you'll get a good jolt in the SOTP meter

See Sig. STOCK HEADS & Through cats....

The Hot Cam needs to breath. Must have headers in my opinion...

i would say dont waste your time with a cam until you have headers on the car. just last month i installed my hotcam, and really didnt notice THAT much difference with stock exhaust and manifolds. it sounded GREAT, but i wasnt too impressed with the power gain. but i am now installing hooker LT's, so it should def. wake her up!!!

Yep, stock manifolds will make you think you wasted your money and you may still think that with the hotcam. I was considering that cam kit until I found Combination Motorsports. You cant beat their cam kit prices.

Add SLP headers too. I've seen it with my own eyes. I can get you dyno sheets. The guy I'm talking about is in my car club. He has since gone with a stroker motor, but he gained an overall ~65 RWHP with the Hotcam kit, SLP headers, 58mm TB, and LT1_edit.

Have a great day!
