i have 1995 z28 that has started overheating so far i have had the system flushed changed the t stat and replaced the water pump i tried bleeding the system but after reading many of the threads i moght not have done it right but what im confused about is why when it overheats is the radiator is not hot i have checked the oil and there is no mix so my guess is the heads are ok i would appreciate any help (the temp has gone up but i shut it off before it got to the red). thanks

Did you buy a thermostat specifically designed for the LT1's reverse flow cooling system?

Did you read Shoebox's guide to cooling system problems?

http://shbox.com/1/4th_gen_tech2.html#cooling

Do the fans come on when the temperature reaches 226*F?
