i resently perchased a 95 z28 and I want to know the mods i should start with to be equally fast as a stock ls1, all I've done so far is a shift kit and got rid of the cat

Cold Air Intake, catback, and headers should get you there. Stock LS1's put down a good bit of rwhp over LT1's. A good CAI + headers + catback is probably worth about 35-40rwhp.

Agreed. Full exhaust and a CAI should get you even or at least into LS1 territory.

LT's help that much huh, i got next to a firebird with a ls1, he had a cai and a loudmouth, he pulled me like we would pull a stock civic

I'm going to the track on sat so i'll se how the car is running.

An ls1 can be beat with a 2800-3600 stall(ur a a4 right). I would get a converter(2800) and 373 gears. if you still have the stock exhaust and you can pull away from an ls1 your cool.
