dont mean to be an idiot, but what is tach needle?? is it the RPM?? it is, then it is my opti...but i dont have a trouble starting....

i am not sure if this is what your asking, but your tach is your rpm's.

the needle on your tachometer.
Here is how mine did it: Just driving at say 1500 rpms, my tach would jump up to like 3000 really quick and then go back to 1500.
Even though my rpms did not really change. And it would keep doing that. I have read of a few other people that this happened to when their opti want bad.
