Hey man,

U can get the cable itself at www.akmcables.com

They also give u the specs, parameters, and parts list of what u need to build the connector. Or if ur willing to shell out about $75, u can have one that is already built if ur not a plug builder.

The tuning plug actually plugs into the OB1 serial port connector, which u'll find above Driver's right knee, underneath most of the dash.

The software u can find at many places, like www.ls1speed.com for data logging

As for tuning software, their are a few choices like Tuner Cat, but LT1 EDIT is probably the most prominent and preferred.

Prices (close estimations):
Cable and connectors - $75-95
Data Logging software - $150-$250
LT1 EDIT - $150

Plus, the laptop of ur choice

I agree with WheelmanZ28
I have a 94Z28 and bought my cable from www.akmcables.com. The cable costs $95. There are many programs you can use with this cable and your computer. I'm using FreeScan and it works great for reporting trouble codes and monitoring the status of your LT1. There are probably better programs out there, but FreeScan is a great starting point since it is free... It is best if your computer has a RS232 9pin serial port. Andrew at AKM cables was a pleasure to deal with and I had my cable 3 days after I ordered it. It worked perfectly and was easy to use. The connector is located below and to the right of the ignition switch and may be covered by a rectangular dust cover.

I hope this helps.
