For the life of your Opti get your money back!! I had to replace 2 optis whenever I had my 6AL. Took it off and haven't had a problem since. But, if you're not willing to save yourself the hassle, I bought the harness which is a plug and play setup. I think I go it from jegs and it was around $25.

how did the 6Al mess up ur opti?

I have a DYNAspark and ive had my 6AL on for a few days. No problems at all. I also have the Timing retard also.

What problems did you get with the 6AL. and are you sure it wasnt ur coil that went out>?

I replace my coil 3 times with a msd and 2 stock coils just to make sure that it was not the coil.

It seems to be a hit and miss problem for people. I have had mine with no problems ever. I used all of the plug and play harnesses. I used it on my stock engine and it is still being used on the current set up.

I haven't had any problems with my opti running a 6al and as far as hooking it up I would go with the harness it is well worth the money for the time and hassle.
