Hooker Super-Comps and the AIR system

Has anyone ever taken some Hooker super-comps and drilled them out to work with the AIR system? I forgot to think about the AIR system after buying some. Also does the AIR system have anything to do with the EGR valve? Thanks.

The AIR only operates for a few minutes on cold startup. Its purpose is to get the cats up to operating temp quicker. It doesn't affect emissions unless you have a visual test. The EGR is independent of AIR.

Re: Hooker Super-Comps and the AIR system

Okay, I knew the purpoes of the AIR system, since my cat. is gone then I no longer need my AIR system, correct? Thank you for clarifying if it is part of the EGR system or not. However, do the stock manifolds hook up to the EGR system somehow? I think I may just not hook up the AIR system, yet leave it in there, it's my understanding that you have to hack out the AIR system and that it doesn't not come out with bolts or screws? If this is true, cutting it out means a point of no return that I do not want to mess with.
