Hooker Super Comp or Jet Hot headers?

Im getting ready to order headers soon, Im not sure if there are any differences? Is one better or easier to install? Im looking at either jet hots or Hookers. And they will definitely be ceramic coated.

just go with the Jet Hots', they are really based off the hooker/pacesetter design

What if I can get the Hookers cheaper? My friend works at an autoparts store and can get them for cost. coated for 400, Jet hots will run 499.00 plus 25 shipping.

then hell, go with the hookers, really they are the same as long as they are 1 3/4 primaries!

Pacesetters have 2.75" collectors not 3". They also have crappy welds inside the primaries. A friend of mine just installed a set.

I think there was a dyno test where they showed Hookers produced the most hp.

As stated, the Jet hots were modeled off of the Hooker design...but I was under the impression that they had a thicker flange to prevent warping. If you can get the Hookers at cost id say go for them tho.

this is true , they have thicker flanges to prevent warping but if u can get coated header for 400 then id do that , the headers are almost identical anyways

oh yeah i think the only other diff is teh 02 holes are on the outside of teh hookers as teh jethots are on the inside. i think the jethots are flanged at the end of the collector to a hookers are not but i may be wrong

Re: Hooker Super Comp or Jet Hot headers?

the Hooker collectors dont point upwards as much as the Jet-hots do either
lots of people have had issues with the Jet-hots because of this

the jet-hots are also made of a thicker guage metal then the hookers FWIW

i'm pleased with my Hookers and mine are from 1998
