Hooker Shorties

I just recently purchased a set of these and was wondering what kind of rwhp i will see once i get them on, i have heard some people say about 15 or so is possible, is this reliable info?

I have these shorties and I felt a good difference in them, but keep in mind, I also have the cam running through them.

did you have the cam before the headers or after, if after did you notice anything from the headers alone.

I had the cam before the headers... I am pretty sure you will feel a difference with or w/o the cam.

I got these about 7 months ago and it made a big difference for me. I'm going to guess about 20hp maybe, but it's a good mod, hey let me know how it sounds with that hooker catback, just ordered that to replace my flows.later

If you look at the collector opening you will notice that it is very small. Use a die grinder to open um up about a 1/4 " all the way around and youll get 5-6 more hp out of them.

are you talking about on the y pipe or on the ends or each shorty or both, but i like that idea, just let me know about which to open up, thanks for the replies.

The end of each header where it mates to the y pipe......dont get too carried away though. Color in the 1/4 inch you want to remove and have at it. Its well worth doing to see the best gains from these headers.

Run them for a few weeks and the part that you can cut away will be obvious. Where they collect soot is the part you can cut.
