hooker lt people....
Re: hooker lt people....
Well, pacesetters are the cheapest actually, lol. They are the same design for 200 less, If your set on the hookers though a group purchase or ordering directly from jet hot would be the cheapest.
Re: hooker lt people....
Maybe I was'nt clear... I have a set of Hooker LT's I need to know what is the best header gasket to use with them. I would also like to know where is the cheapest place to buy a ypipe for the Hooker headers....

Re: hooker lt people....
if i were you i would just buy some felpro's and then spend the money on the locking bolts. you could by the copper gaskets but i wouldnt. trust me the bolts are worth the money. i cant count the number of gaskets i have blown with out them. you can get the gaskets from any autozone, andvance or any store like that. i dont know for sure if they can order the bolts but i know you can get them from summit.
Re: hooker lt people....
Ahh, sorry about that, i'm not sure about the y-pipe but i think summit has them for a pretty good price, as far as gaskets you can't go wrong with a set of copper ones, i'm not sure if u can get them for the lt1 but i know they have them for smallblocks.
Re: hooker lt people....
I don't know about the y-pipe, I'm not running one; True duals...
For gaskets; the ONLY ones I've ever gotten to seal properly are the Earl's Aluminum Graphite composite ones from Summit (~$40). I blew out 2 sets of felpro's in about a week, and I never got a set of copper gaskets to seal properly (after 3 different sets, and multiple tries on each set). The Earls sealed up on the 1st try and have yet to leak.

Re: hooker lt people....
I like the Mr. Gasket Ultra Seal. As with any of them though... check them because they'll probably need a little grinding in a few areas

That link should be everything you need from the LT's back to the tips, i've got my list of parts from here, including locking header bolts, copper gaskets, and dummy 02 sensors. Good luck

Re: hooker lt people....
I have to agree on the earls gaskets. I have had a set on since swapping my engine out a year or so ago and have yet to have a leak. I did use the stage8 locking header bolts, but could'nt get the locking parts to clear the primary's. By the way,I have the hookers also.

I got my hooker y pipe from ls1speed.com, bout $170 i think and fits good
Re: hooker lt people....
i'm using Percys Dead aluminum with my HLTs, but i had to port them out a little cuz the opening is smaller on the gasket since the hookers arent d shaped. But they seal like champs. I had SCEs and did not work for me. I'm using a used Mufflex 4" exhaust and i got it with the ypipe i belive its made by flowmaster.
Re: hooker lt people....
I used the stock ones that came with them and they worked for 2 years before they started leaking, not sure how many miles but it was my daily driver and I drove alot. i had to tighten them down a few times, but other than that they fine, of course any gasket might need retightening until they seat in there. Otherwise I hear the felpros are good as well. Oh I forgot to mention i soaked the gaskets in water for a day or two to let the water soak in, this is supossed to make them seal better and stick after they get heated.
Re: hooker lt people....
Re-useable aluminum gaskets from autozone, you can re-use them over and over again, they have sealed great for me and if any of the bolts back out the gasket doesnt get burned up so you just retighten the bolts and theyre sealed up again, I only had to re-tighten a couple of the header bolt one or two times, havent had any leaks since.
