Hooker Long tube leak question

I have hooker long tubes and I have a done a search and came up short. I was wondering...On the drivers side where the pipe slides into the other how do I get that to stop leaking? I DONT want to weld it..I have heard of people using exhaust band clamps...the wide ones....I also heard that u use a size bigger??? Is this true?? If so where do I get them and what size clamp do I use???

thanks
matt

I used ultra copper on mine, put some on the tube itself and then some inside to and it formed a nice lip and it sealed for at least 72 hours before I turned the new engine over and so far so good....nearing 500 (break in) miles

i see no reason one of those sheetmetal clamps wouldnt take care of your problem.

I don't have my LTs on yet, so I hope I don't have this problem. But, if I do, I'll take the female end to my work and very slowly use an exhaust expander and bump it open. Any exhaust shop should have one.
