hooker or jet-hot?

okim stuck on a toss-up between these two. jet-hot is relatively new to me but ive heard a LOT of good about them, and hooker is what ive always been told to use either way im going with jet-hot sterling coating so finish isnt an issue.. which has better install? quality? sound?? is really what im looking to find out. oh yeah this is for a 94Z28 which already has a true dual system from the manifolds back. also this is with emissions (i fear emissiosn testing wil begin here soon its already started in a major neighboring city =/). that pretty well sums up what im lookin for, so any information wil help me out! also price doesnt matter between these two, both are close enough in price that it doesnt bother me.

If your'e worried about emissions, I wouldn't get long tube headers, as most eliminate the cats. I have Jet Hots, and I LOVE them Hooker and Jet Hot have virtually the same design.

Re: hooker or jet-hot?

im not extremely worried about emissions, just think it may be an issue in the future (no cats on my car right now but i still have 2 cats lying aorund to go back on if need arises) while ive got this up.. whats gained by eliminating the air and EGR with LT's? i can always just get teh comp tuned to delete them and go with that, but is it worth sending my computer off again? this is my daily driver so downtime is huge .. though i havent had it in 7 months so i could probly make it another week ...

The deletion of the EGR and AIR is minimal I hear. You'll need to get blockoff plates, and you might as well get them deleted from your PCM *as you stated* I heard anywhere between 1-2 hp, even that? Don't quote me on that one.

Re: hooker or jet-hot?

I just installed the pacesetters on my car (94z) and my only problem was gettin the car high enough. I did not have to jack up my motor at all. And I can change all my plugs 20 minutes. And you can get them a lot cheaper.
