I agree. I like to go cruising through town in 3rd and people look at me all the time. I was at a stop light yesterday and this guy in a truck was beside me with his window down listening. After green I gave it enough gas to shift at about 2300 rpm so he could hear it pulsate real good. He stayed beside me for a good ways. Riding through campus gets quite a few looks also.

A guy in a silver 03 Cobra stared me down good too

At idle it sounds like its cammed It suprised the hell outa me the first time I started it up. Very good quality stuff, thick flanges, heavy duty, everything fits right. Bit more than the flowmasters but you get what you pay for I guess.

what kind

what kind of hooker cat back is this?? Part #? Will the muffler just be able to go right in or do you need the full cat back? Did you guys clamp it on or weld it on?

I have had the Hooker catback on my car for a few years now and its holding up great, very good quality. I have headers and no cat and it's quite loud, but i love the sound. Only tip i might pass to you guys are the chrome tips, they take a lot of abuse and can get trashed quite fast. I would recomend taking the time to clean or polish them on a regular basis or you will lose them.

Its not quite as loud as the flowmaster, but has a much more defined sound, and it flows better...

Is there any interior resonance? It seems like a good deal for only $300. I'm interested. My flowmaster's days are numbered. I want something a bit quieter.

I got mine for I think 265 from jegs, w/ free shipping. and don't use the clamp in the kit. I got a band clamp (its like a strip of sheet metal that wraps around and tightens with bolts) and its been on there fine since december. the muffler clamp that came in the kit came loose like a few days after I put it on. but yea, its quite loud when you're accelerating, but just cruising around, especially in overdrive its pretty much silent. turns alot of heads tho, its one of the best sounding systems i've heard (I PROBABLY would have gone with the borla if I had the money as far as sound goes, but the hooker is just about as nice, and half the cost)

just put mine on today with a gutted cat,! it sounds so clean and crisp, and its a real head turner. bigsteve7,, there isnt really any interior resonance until you get on the trottle, i am very impressed with this system and would take it anyday over a flowmaster

Ummmmmm, how'bout a sound-clip, eh Hooker guys? I'm in the market for a FULL catback. Here are my options that I've been looking into:

I don't think I will be going with Flowmaster again, despite the fact that I love the sound. I just don't think the quality is up to par. If they made a stainless steel or aluminum exhaust that would last, then I would most definitely go with a Flowmaster again.

Here they are in no particular order....the only problem is that I've NEVER heard these exhausts. I've just heard they're good exhausts. Sound-clips would be great, people. I'm looking for something that is light, flows very well, and is pretty damned loud.

1. SLP Loudmouth

2. Corsa

3. B&B Triflo

4. Edelbrock

5. Hooker

I don't like Borla at all, so please don't suggest them.
