Hooker !catback

OK, I decided to go with the hooker muffler on my car. I had a flow master(catback design) and hated it! Then I put on a flowmaster 50 series deltaflow 3" single in single out. Hated it even more! I was trying to get rid of that annoying popping sound. It didn't work. In defense of the deltaflow I did remove my cat at the same time I installed it. But, I think it would have sounded like crap anyway.

So, what I need to know is which hooker is used in their catback system? I don't want to buy the catback cause I have friend who will installl it cheap. Unless there is some big advantage or hp gain from using the catback. I would even consider using a one in one out muffler if I knew for sure that it would sound good. Just heard alot of good comments about the hooker catback so I figured I would take the safe well travelled route.

I would do the full catback.....youll see 10-15 hp gain if your car is for the most part stock. The 3" intermediant pipe gives you most of that gain.

BTW, where in Georgia are you? Check out the gafba.com sight if you havnt allready.

Greg, you think the 3" piping on the catback makes that much difference compared to just using the hooker mufffler? I was actually curious how much difference it made cuz I really didn't want to spend a whole lot on my exhaust right now. Might change things down the road. I don't mind spending a little extra if I am getting a little extra.

I live near the Macon/Warner Robins area. I have checked out the gafba site and have been planning on joining.
