Based on all I've read up here, I'm going to go with the Hooker CAT back system. Any recommendations on who to buy from??

I was going to buy the Hooker Cat-back system and the cheapest place I ever found it was from Summit.

Summit--$269.95 But I don't know what the shipping charge is. (Would probably be the same between Summit or Jegs.)

I think the shipping was like 20 or 30 bucks from summit and Jegs was like 10 . But for bruecksteve you live in GA and JEGS is based in FL I think so Id check JEGS.

Jegs!!!!.........One call gets it all......one click gets it quick!!!!!!!

Jegs prices used to include shipping and they usually ship the next day.

Remember to paint the insides of the Hooker tips with some high temp spray paint or they will rust quickly. Use Mother's Polish on the outside when they start to corrode a little bit and they will last for years.

I went with Thunder Racing also. They have good customer service and they have a package deal if you need a CAI also.

Plus, they are a supporting advertiser here.

If you're one of those guys who likes to compete in car shows (or otherwise likes "bling bling" mods ) Jet-Hot sells the Hooker cat-back fully ceramic coated for approx $430. They mentioned it on one of their long tube group purchases a few weeks ago.

Thumbs up

good choice, i got mine from summit 283.40 shipped, came 3 days after order.
i test ordered summit and jegs, and at the time summit could ship 1 dollar less than jegs.

UPS has been workin hard the past couple of months...

Had good news from a friend that had the Hooker CAT back's. He got a 16.4 rwhp increase after installing them, the dyno runs were 1 hour apart under same conditions. Not bad.....

Just because it costs more doesn't mean it will flow better.

It could seem high because of other mods done to the car also.

I just got a reply back from him, this was the deal:

It's a 2000 Z28

An air intake lid, that's all.. no free mods.

Bone stock.. 280.2 rwhp
Air lid.. 292.3 rwhp
Air lid and Hooker CAT.. 308.7 rwhp

Everything within an hour and a half.
