I have had mine for quite some time. And just the other day I finally got a video of it and got to hear it from the outside It sounds pretty quiet from the inside...but don't let that fool you. I didn't know it sounded like it does. I LOVE MINE. As someone else stated...the longer it's on the better it seems to sound.

How does it compare performance wise to the Loudmouth system or the Borla (expensive, i know). And, will it not really add that much HP if you put headers on?

Performance gains are noticeable. The muffler is very free flowing, as it does not have baffels. The quality also looks decent with Stainless insides and it's not a glass pack like the magnaflow, dynomax systems so it should last awhile !

I love my exhaust. Not to loud, but loud enough when you want it to.

I was originally probably going to buy the hooker after i posted a few threads about it here. i have heard some sound clips of it and liked it a lot but then i came across the MAGNAFLOW all stainless steel catback exhaust. i picked this up for 280.77 brand new and i fuond the hooker to be 270 i think was the cheapest i found it. so after thinking over and over about it i decided to go with the magnaflow and love it. it comes with a polished muffler and 3.5" tips and its all stainless steel. i cant beat that. i love the sound of it it sounds really deep not really loud and not annoying at all it has a smooth sound to it when your driving and wot it gets its meaness on!!! lol and also im sure you know that stock exhaust on an lt1 has the popping sound when you rev it up, my magnaflow exhaust eliminates that practically 100% when it is warmed up. it only pops when its cold but when its warm it hardly pops at all. i know for sure the flowmaster pops when its cold or hot. i am not sure abuot the hooker but if you dont like the poping the magnaflow doesnt. i love it and got a hell of a deal on it!

The Hooker catback NEVER POPS, in the clip i made it pops because any car you rev up like that in neutral and let go off the gas will pop.

I'd be a little careful with that statement. How can you say it doesn't pop? It clearly pops in the video. I agree with you if you are talking about the car if it isn't warmed up. Mine never pops when I rev it, even with stock exhaust, when warmed up. Just wanted to clarify.
