Hooker Areochamber-Dynomax Bullet-Flowmaster?

Hey I was just wondering which to get. I dont have many mods just some bolt-ons. 97 Z28 M6. I dont want it to have that rasp sound when i let off. I just want to order the muffler not the whole system, which one do ya'll recommend as far as performance and sound. I dont care about emissions or loudness. If you have some sound files of these please post them.

I have videos(1st) of a Dynomax Ultraflow and a 50 series Flowmaster on my webpage. I recommend the Ultraflow.

Thumbs up

I think an 80 series Flow sounds pretty sweet myself.

i agree, i got an 80 series flowmaster and after it broke in (few k miles) when i let off the gas at 70 or above it makes the most beautiful bubbling roar... like a freakin tracker trailor using its engine brakes down a hill... ahh can't get enough of that sound
go to flowmaster.com and click on the 80 series... they got a sound wave of it on a stock 95 formula... it sounds good but better in real life (the sound quality on the website isn't that good)

I can't really stand my flowmaster.. If it weren't for the Hooker LT's I wouldn't have it on my car anymore...

if you want just a muffler, i'd stay away from the bullets. i think it will pop quite a bit on a stock exhaust system.

If you get a flowmaster with no cats, prepare to hear crap.. it is better with headers... as is any exhaust..

Get the Aerochamber. Not raspy, quiet at idle and cruise, but does it's talking when you put your foot down. If you want noise get a Flow.

IMO, instead of spending your money on just a muffler , get a cut-out. Not only is it loud but it'll actually give you 5-7 rwhp where as just a muffler won't get you that (that I am aware of) and its cheaper too

I concur.....I had a flowmaster, but it was to loud for my taste..And the Aero is quieter at cruise speed...

On a car with cats a Flowmaster is perfect, and won't burn out or get louder. Flowmasters don't break in like other mufflers.

My vote goes for the Aerochamber. It sounded good before, but now with the MACs it's just mmm...mmm good! DEEP! Man it sounds good. Never cared for the LT1 flowmaster. If you do LTs with bullets in a true-dual set-up, that is the ultimate sounding LT1 exhaust. Heard it in person a few weeks ago fell in love.

I have the Flowmaster 80 series with high flow cats and I must say I am pretty impressed. I like it. I like all exhausts that are loud
