Holy Smokes!!! I mean literally Holy smokes!!!

Just started my car after months of downtime. This thing was super smokey! You think maybe it's because I haven't changed the oil yet? Is that normal?

Oh yeah, and it made my eyes burn when I stood by the pipes for a while.

What color is the smoke? How is the condition of the oil, does it look normal? I doubt the oil is the problem, but I would still change it, especially if the car has had alot of downtime.

Mine smoked after 8 months of down time(Afghanistan), when I started it up, ran alittle rough and rich, plus with condensation added into the mix from being outside.. I figured it would..

I just let it idle for 3~5 minutes watching guages, then took it out on the highway and got on it... Lots of smoke(bluish grey), but it cleared away...

Oil on the cats is never a good thing. If you still have them. But then we have no information regarding your vehicle

Car has been sitting since august. It's starting to smoke less now since I have been litting it sit and idle but smoke comes out the rear pipes when I rev it still. It also comes from the sides of the motor near the headers which is wierd but it is starting to go away. I think it's because oil is leaking onto my headers though. I need to find the right size valve cover gaskets.

Also, are all the header bolts tight? They can sometime work themselves loose.
