Hit 11's all motor

I went 11.845 at 114.76 with a 1.654 60ft on Friday night at kcir.

My mods are:
EDIT: stock bottem end also
LE heads w/ valves (274/195)
VERY SMALL Joe Overton cam (~220/226)
3.73's and 3000 stall
long tubes
telstars w/ et streets/skinnies
Back seats/front sway bar removed
and all the little things

I was pretty happy with the times. I went with a really small cam so I can build a sleeper, and through the stock muffler you can't hear it lope at all with it idled up a little. I've only been down the track 8 times in my life, so I should have room for improvement, plus I'll be hitting up a track that's actually prepped next time. I dyno'd it at 384/363 last week with just a base tune and since then I've gained 3.6mph at the track. Bryan from pcmforless is doing my tuning for me and he's doing a great job so far. I'd like to thank Lloyd and Joe for helping me get a matched setup that runs strong.

Gas mileage prior was 20-21 with highway/city mix and 18 city/racing. With adding the stall/heads/cam I get 18.0-19 highway/city mix and 15-16mpg city/racing.

It spun some but not bad. Right now, I'm only stalling to about 1200 and flashing the converter. I'm going to try some different techniques next time. I think it has some 1.5x's in it with a better prepped track and better launches.

I got a buddy going high 1.4x's and low 1.5's on his for about a year. We'll see how long it lasts. It's got six 1.6's on it so far and doesn't whine anymore than before. I really need some suspension since I've got cheap monroe shocks on the back and stock up front.

Nice times with that little cam. My car ran 11.60's@117mph with the next step up from that cam and now I have gone and put another Joe O cam and will be putting up some #'s this weekend if all goes well. Later Clint

Let me know how it goes, your one of the main reasons I went with the custom cam. Also, thanks for letting me know how your old cam sounded so I knew it was probably too much lope for me and my sleeper setup.

Hey Justin, you gotta replace that thing. With your RWHP numbers you gotta be giving up a few ponnies with the stock throttle body.

Good job! I'm shooting for those 11's myself pretty hard.

If I can't pull off the 11's on stock heads (gonna try my best after stalling up a bit more on a bigger converter) I think I'll be contacting Lloyd myself
