Its a LT1... but my g/f has a Duster, and its a pure piece of garbage... I need an answer quickly and i'm REALLy sorry for posting this here, but she's all alone and she's 1 1/2 hours away!! I need a quick answer... Her RPM's are 1000 more then usual when cruising at 55mph and she said that its making an odd and unusual noise. She couldn't describe it, nor could I if she could... Its an American Motor so i'm sure theres some sort of similiarities... any ideas?!

I vote for the transmission. Or user error.
