High Flow Fuel Pump on a Stock Car
High Flow Fuel Pump on a Stock Car
My Fuel Pump went bad, and i wanted to know if it will be fine to run the Walbro High Performance In-Tank Fuel Pump, 255 liters per hour on stock injectors with stock heads and cam.
I asked the nearest shop, and they told me that i should but a stock pump, which is capable for 450 hp or so...
I am also doing a complete tune-up, so I wanted to get some opinions.

Re: High Flow Fuel Pump on a Stock Car
I just did thi exact swap from stock to the walbro 255 and I needed an adjustable Fuel pressure regulator to tone down the fuel pressure but I am still
not entirely sure if that was because my stock one was messed up or not,
as long your fuel pree is correct you injectors heads & cam car should be fine.

Re: High Flow Fuel Pump on a Stock Car
i just came back from a diff. shop and they told me that my fuel pressure will run kinda low, and i should still go with the stock one that should support over 400 hp..
what do u think?
also, please list all the things that i should be placing for a COMPLETE tune-up..

other wise another pump option is a Walbro GSS307 i believe that is the 210lph pump
i'd recomend not replacing it with a stock fuel pump, they are marginal at best and wont leave too much room in the future for more performance mods
www.racetronix.com or
www.neweraperformance.com <- got mine for $114 shipped from those guys in 3 days
