Arrow Hick-up just before WOT

I need to verify some info that I heard from a fellow F-Body owner.

I have a 383 stroker and I put in a decent cam this year:
228/234 dur .564/.556 Lift w 108*LSA

I have noticed a "hick-up" just before I hit WOT, almost fells like a miss but then the car just hauls right after I nail it and seems fine.
Will the cam make it seem like there is a miss because of the LSA?

Now I also out in a MSD Cap & Rotter while I was building the motor but from what I have seen on this forum that might have been a mastake on my part??

The car idles fine, no stumble or any thing, TPS Volts are .63 @ idle, I'm kind of rulling out the Opti for now but then again...........???

What Throttlebdy do you have? Monoblade?

You could be getting knock or going lean on the initial opening of the TB blades. Can you log data on the runs (i.e. knock count, O2 mV, etc.) using datamaster or freescan?

Sounds like a "tip-in" problem. A log would be wonderful and would probably tell you everything you need to know to fix the problem.

Re: Hick-up just before WOT

I have been trying to Data Log it for a week now with TTS DataMaster prgm but all I get is an error telling me it can't comunicate with the ECM but that the cable is working fine.
I checked me SES light and all is well there, the car can see the ECM but my laptop can't??
I have a BBK 52mm TB and has been working fine for the past 4yrs.
I have to check my ECM port in the car and make sure the pins are touching the Male end of my Cable.
I got my cable from ALDLCAble : http://www.aldlcable.com/sc/details.asp?item=aldlobd1
My sig. ligter is putting out 12.2 volts also so I know that is getting the proper volts.
DO you have a link for teh FreeScan?

Better than datamaster IMO. It records runs and lets you open them in Excel. Just record like you would with datamaster.

Then you can look at each column (TPS, rpm, etc.) and scroll down and see exactly when things get messed up. You can se easy where you get knock, etc.

What? I think Datamaster is way better. Freescan is good because it's free. You can save Datamaster files as .csv extensions and open them in Excel also.

Snap! I always hated dragging the cursor over the curves on datamaster versus frescan's spreadsheet ability! I'll have to check it out when my car goes back togethr. Good looking out!
