first off, welcome

second, that would be a nice setup, especially since the car is so light (our z28s and trans ams/formulas run in the 3300-3700 pound range all depending on the options you got)
i would suggest searching the boards and find people that have had headwork done and a cam put in and take off a few tenths for you, because of your weight advantage
depending on the cam, i could see 11s with traction

but what do i know, all my car has is exhaust so far

well its a rather broad question but are you going to use a t56 or auto tranny? im assuming you want auto,,if you work the LT1 and get 400hp out of it i'd say you could get 11's,,getting it too hook would be the issue at hand first,,you would also need the brain from a LT1 car,,so i'd look for a donor car or make sure you get all the goodies with the LT1 when you buy it,,

You won't be running 12psi of boost for long on a stock bottom end, LT1.

You need to research, and find what you need. Then you will be able to decide if that project is what you want.

On a stock bottem end car, most people will run 6psi max, 8 if intercooled. Even then in most cases its probably just a matter of time till time till it does. The LT1 is a high compression engine that can't handle a real lot of boost, at least in stock trim.
