Hey Guys Need Some Help Please

Alright today i was on my way home on rt 287 doing about 80 or 75 and i started going from 6th to 5th and it didn twanna go. i thought maybe it is just me but then i kept going back n forth an dit was getting harder not wanting to go. i got scared so i just stuck it in 6th then i pushed in the clutch and coasted to my exit because i was practically off the highway during all of of this. the car then Barely went into 1st and 2nd it shook the car like i had it in third so i checked and it in fact was in first. anyway now car wont go into any gears, i tmakes a bearing grinding sound when you try, and its parked a few miles from my house. i changed the fluid two weeks ago. guy at auto store told me to put in dextron 3 atf thats what its listed to take. i did so, only other thing is i switched shift ***** last night and today i was struggling to make it sit straight. could i possibly have bent linkage. i doubt it but pleast anyone who can help me I DONT KNOW WHERE TO F#$KIN BEGIN!. THANKS
CHRIS

Sounds to me like a clutch problem. Has the clutch been slipping at all? I've never had any of that stuff that you described happen to me so I don't know what it would feel like, but it could be clutch.

It's real easy to check out the clutch fork to make sure its on right, and play with the clutch cylinder to make sure it's working. Just get up under the driver's side, pull out the two bolts that hold the slave to the bell housing, and pull out the slave. Make sure the fork is on right, and try pushing the actuator pin into the slave cylinder. You shouldn't hear any bubbling or anything when doing this.

That's all I can do for ya, I hope it helps.
