Hey whats up everyone . Right now i have a 92 rs but im trying to find either a 93-97 z28 . I have roughly 8,000. You guys think thats enough to find one with low miles and out of 93-97 z28s is there a diff between them

With some time to search you can find a pretty nice car for that much money. Not necessarily low mileage though.

If you plan to do much modding, I would recommend the search for a 95 model, but there isn't a whole lot of differences between them all.

93 - speed density - computer chip replaceable
94- ODB1 computer with non-vented optispark
95 -ODB1 computer with vented optispark
96 -97- 10 more hp with dual cats, but ODB2 computer that cost more for scanning software as well as tuning software.

I would look into a 94-95. I paid $6000 for my 93 t-top about 6 months ago. It had 78,000 miles. People say that the first year of a new body (93) usually has more problems. I have not really had anything major happen to me knock on wood. The guy before me replaced the water pump and that is it. Had a plug wire arching, and an air pump fuse go bad and that is it. There is not much difference between them. All Z Way has all the differences listed. You just have to make the choice for yourself. I would advise you to get an auto trader and set some appointments. Don't jump into the first one you see check around a bit and get the one that suits you best whether it be a 93, 94, 95. I would say you are limited to those 3 years with your budget. Make sure the water pump has been done, plugs and wires already done will save you alot later too. There are plenty available so check around. Buy from an older dude not some young Nitrous squeezing kid, not that you can't trust them.

Get the 94-95. They have the OBD1 computer, which is more responsive to mods than a OBDII.
And welcome aboard!
