hey guys i need help asap oil pan gasket

ok guys long story but what do i need to do to put in a new oil pan gasket..... we were putting in a new opti and noticed my tc was leaking so we pulled it off and we busted the oil pan gasket..... I was told buy a guy who took his out you had to unhook the y pipe take off the starter unbolt the engine and tranny mounts? What do i have to do?
I have a 93 m6 z thanks .... im working on it right now so help would be great.

On an M6 I don't think you need to undo the motor mounts. You should be able to lower the pan enough to get the gasket on after you take the exhaust, starter and I think the dust cover off.

It would probably save you some cussing/frustration if you were able to raise the motor a few inches using a jack or even better a cherry picker.

You gotta pull the Y-Pipe, starter, tranny shield, and oil cooler lines (if equipped).

Then remove all bolts from the pan and drop it down on to the K-Member. It definitely helps if you can unbolt a mount and raise the motor at an angle a bit, but it's not 100% necessary. Pull the old gasket out, and work the new gasket around the pan. Don't worry, it will stretch and make it fine. Then just reinstall.
