Hesitation = pissing me off really bad

Okey went driving tonight with my bucket of trash camaro.. I knew Id be disappointed with my car before I even took off. I get all the way to the city I was going to fine.. start cruising around and my temp goes up a bit.. it gets passed the middle line like it always does.. so i flip the a/c on (fans come on with a/c) and am greeted with the usual low end hesitation.. turn the a/c back off and still have a bit of hesitation but not too bad.. its driveable but I am fairly pissed off at this point so I decide to go home.. get home and park it and let it surge.. itd go up and down and up and down.. temp would go up too.. it goes to the last white line and stays there (not sure if thats normal).. so im like sitting htere watching it surge at me, thinking about how much i hate my car and when it does surge the lights dim every once n a while.. the oil guage is also going up and down with the rpms.. im like okey time to test drive it so i go out on a stretch and try mashing the gas at stopping and am greeted with a slow hesitant takeoff.. I mean I couldn't even spin the tires off.. and when i got on it it didn't sound good at all.. I was almost afraid of breaking something so I decided to take it home and park it.. looked through autotrader for a trans am and am thinking about trading it in.. ive seen alot of people with hesitation problems and no fixes.. ive had this problem for 2 years now and my car throws no codes at all.. I must say I officially hate my car

dunno

dunno, alternator is bad mabye? I havent had that problem with my z but i did with my talon. My alternator wasnt charging as fast as the car needed it to and it would be slow and seem as though it was going to die. it would fart and stuff. surging could also mean you got a vacum leak. thats my opinion. guys, help him out, hes gonna get rid of his camaro!!!!!!!!!!!! dont do i man.

alright, let's start with KISS.

check your opti. check your plugs, wires.
your fuel filter. your airfilter.
check your injectors. check your fuel pressure.
give it some high-octane gas and some injector cleaner.

oh, and take an aspirin.

well when i first got the car from a nice couple (or so I thought) it seemed okey until I got it home and started cruising it around (off the highway) this is 2 years ago.. well it stuttered/hesitated real bad so I was like okey maybe we need to change the fuel filter/plugs/wires/drain all the fluids etc.. well after that it ran good until I went to do stop and go driving again and it still hesitated.. I think its always been like this and its pissin me off I don't even treat my car bad I don't roast the tires/race or anything like that, I just want my friggin car to work.. and there is a thread that is 23 pages long of people who have this exact problem one who spent 6k on fixing it and still has not got it fixed.. its frustrating as hell.. I dunno.. i might try unplugging the post cat O2 sensor or something.. we are going car shopping tommarrow though and 2 years of hesitation is about to make this car traded... I like it when it first starts because it runs good cold its when it gets up to operating temps that it messes up... Ahhhhh

I was just reading a post a couple of minutes ago about the coolent sensor and IAC sending cool air codes to the pcm so it would work good in the morning and when it was cold but as soon as the temp rose it would run like crap. Just read around on here and see what you can find out.

It only doing it when it gets warm sounds like a closed loop problem.
Have you tried changing the O2 sensors? Have you had a scanner on it and seen what the sensors are doing?
Might try that and see exactly what the sensor do when it starts surging, you might be surprised.

Hey man I know what your feeling. I have had my car for a year and it just starting going to crap lately. BUT I FIXED IT. I took off my throttle body and gave it a good cleaning. Everywhere on that thing was cleaned. Then I took out the MAP and IAC sensors and cleaned them off real good. I also replaced my IAT sensor because it was feeding the computer a cool air code even when the engine was warm and it was warm outside. They are only like 10 buck so you might want to think about that. Hope ya get this thing fixed, nobody should have to get rid of their CAMARO!!!!

Me again, I saw a guy a few posts above me said that I mentioned my coolant sensor in my original post called "I Solved my Hesitation." I wasnt talking about my coolant sensor, but I was talking about my IAT sensor, it measures the air temp coming through the intake elbow.

The first step would definitely be to scan for codes. There are a few that the PCM will store without lighting the SES light. I had a similiar problem and replaced both O2 sensors which helped alot. Your problem could be different because there are many things that can cause timing, fuel, mixture problems. I also installed a SLP manual fan switch and keep my temp at 180-190 as much as I can and that helps alot. There are other ways but that was the most practical for me.
