I'm in the middle of my cam/head swap and I ordered the LT4 head gasket (for
better compression) However, it looks different than the old LT1 head
gasket. Has anyone used the LT4 head gaskets with LT1 heads?

they should work fine. i have the impalla SS head gaskets which are supposed to be the thinnest for the most compression.

 

Hmmm...actually the reason I went with the LT4 gasket is b/c I heard they were only .0026 compared to the Impala .0029. Could be wrong though Thanks for the info!
