HELP! Watch this video and tell me what's wrong

Car will start, run for 8 seconds, then die. It doesn't sputter, just dies. All connections are fine. Battery and alternator are good. Fuel pump primes and at least delivers for 8 seconds oil pressure is good. New vacuum lines from intake manifold to fuel pressure regulator. So......what do I do?

No codes either....

I just installed a VATS bypass module right before this startup. So, what to do? I'm trying to sell this, but I can't till it runs right. I don't want to sell a half-working beast to someone, I wanna sell the real deal! This car has been great till now....I don't want it to end like this!

This video is on a weak battery from sitting for a few weeks, ignore the hard-to-start. That's not normal when battery is fully charged.

With the glare on the gauges, I can't tell if the security light is going off. If it is not, then your bypass module is not doing the job. I assume it is the fuel enable bypass module?

Security light IS going off, sorry about the glare.

This is the bypass module I got. My key code is 11, and it is designed specifically for that.

Ok, that is not the module I was thinking of. That is the same as putting a 20¢ resistor on the wires for the key cylinder. I was more thinking of the module for the fuel enable portion of the VATS. Without that signal, the engine would start, then die. The injectors get shut off. That could be confirmed with a noid light.

So, you have scanned and have no trouble codes (not just relying on the fact that the check engine light is not on)? Code 46 for the fuel enable does not light the check engine light.

What was the scenario that caused you to get the resistor bypass for the key cylinder? Any other possible problems with the rest of the VATS system?

hey I'm not trying to be ****, but its NEVER a good idea to diagnose problems on a dying battery. before you start replacing things and troubleshooting voltages, please give the battery an overnight charge or work with a new one

You beat me to it. Low battery voltage/weak or dying battery may cause all kinds lf odd gremlins to pop up...

Sounds fuel starved

Low battery to electric pump and fuel shuts off
